Day 1: Land's End to St Ives

It's confirmed, scenic = hills. I'll refraim from commenting on how steep today's hills were until we have got a bit further. I want to say that they were massive, but I have a feeling that after a few days I'll look back and realise that these were just bumps in the road.

Good news is that we are 20 miles in. Originally I had thought that we'd drive down on the Saturday stay overnight and then have the first full day starting at Land's End on the Sunday. Someone suggested that it's a good idea to drive down and then cycle from Lands End on the same day and they were right (cheeers Frances).

B&B seems great (full report post breakfast). We've also just had a great meal at a place in St Ives called the Seafood Cafe. If you're down check it out.

Off now to find a local beer and review tomorrow's trip.

Matt- Thank you to everybody who sent us good luck cards and messages. Its good to know you are watching our progress.

Watch this space for more tommorow.
