Day 6: Nailsworth to Tenbury Wells (Bike Heros part 2)

Alan - After the heroic efforts of Tim & Naomi yesterday, today we were joined by another cycling hero Rob (a real cyclist), who joined us for a day's ride and led the way which saved our legs and upped the average speed. Thanks Rob !! (see photos .... no not that one, that's a jelly baby, one of a family who regularly accompany us on our travels. They are pretty good company, but tend to lose thier heads every now and then.)

We've crossed many more county boundaries and I've added the M50 to my motorway collection ..... oh, this is even starting to worrry me. We've now done over 300 miles and have picked up loads of tips from Rob that will help with the rest. Need to get back to my pint of mild now.

Before I go though, another great B&B last night (Jubilee Cottage). If you are in the area stay there (if it's before August, as the owners are going off travelling around the world then - EF) and then go to the Weighbridge Inn for great food (a unique pie that is great) and also great beer. Check out a pint or three of Old Spot.

Comedy Moment 4 - I navigated into a multistorey car park. Fortunately Matt and Rob realised before I had paid for a ticket.

(N.B. The photo of Boots is really us blogging the bog in Gloucester - google latrine and Gloucester)

Matt - Thanks to Rob for his company and tips. And also for the tow out of Nailsworth. Lots of fun. He was also able to ride at a faster pace so Alan had a challenge for a change! I really am captain slow on a bike. (Alan - Should have got some proper gears on the bike.)

Hope everyone enjoyed the jelly baby pic.
